this policy explains what information devote/d label (operated by Devoted Label, a partnership based in oakland, california) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. we keep this simple on purpose: we only collect what we need to ship your order, answer your messages, and keep you in the loop if you ask us to.
1. information we collect
when you order: your name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address, and order details. payment is processed by stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
when you join our mailing list (on our homepage or our events page): your email address.
when you use our contact form: your name, email, and whatever you write in your message.
automatically, when you visit: basic, anonymous usage information such as pages viewed, referring site, browser and device type, and general location (city/country level). this comes from our website platform’s built-in analytics, which doesn’t use cookies to identify or track you.
we don’t offer customer accounts, and we don’t collect sensitive information such as government ids.
2. how we use your information
to process, ship, and provide updates on your order, including pre-order and shipping notices
to respond to messages and customer support requests
to send mailing-list emails about new edits, restocks, events, and early access, but only if you’ve signed up
to understand how our site is used, so we can improve it
to prevent fraud and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations
3. who we share it with
we do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising. we only share it with the service providers that help us run devote/d label:
stripe: payment processing and fraud prevention
framer: website hosting, contact forms, and site analytics
mailerlite: mailing-list emails
UPS: shipping and delivery (your name, address, and phone number)
spacemail: our business email, used to reply to your messages
each provider handles your information under its own privacy policy. we may also disclose information if required by law.
4. cookies & tracking
we don’t use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. our site analytics don’t use cookies. stripe may set cookies during checkout for security and fraud prevention. you can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, though checkout may not work as expected if you do.
do not track: because we don’t track visitors across other websites, our site responds the same way whether or not your browser sends a “do not track” signal.
5. how long we keep it
we keep order records for as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes (generally up to 7 years). mailing-list information is kept until you unsubscribe. contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to help you.
6. your rights & choices
you can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@devotedlabel.com. we’ll respond within 45 days. we may need to keep some records where the law requires it, such as order records for taxes.
you can unsubscribe from mailing-list emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
california residents: we don’t sell or share personal information, and we don’t disclose it to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. you won’t be treated differently for exercising any privacy right.
7. security
we use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. children
our site isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. if you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
9. changes to this policy
we may update this policy from time to time. when we do, we’ll update the “last updated” date above and post a notice on our site.
